The Advertising Guidance team (“AGT”) is excited to provide you with guidelines to navigate advertising compliance. These guidelines provide you with the tools you need to market yourself, your agency, ESI, and/or National Life Group (“NLG”).
The set of guidelines offers tips, examples, and covers topics like:
- Securities, advisory services, and financial planning/consulting advertising regulatory and content standards that supplement NLG’s agent guidelines.
- Specific types of widely used advertising that can be leveraged such as product sponsor materials, websites, social media, and podcasts/videos.
- Where and when to submit advertising for prior AGT review and approval (and what you may not need to submit).
- For podcasts, videos, and other electronic media, including how to store these compliantly after approval to ensure proper record retention.
Where can I find these guidelines?
Access them via the home page of the Agent Portal – from the Tools section, click the Compliance tile and then the Advertising/Social Media link to bring you the page where they are found. These guidelines are meant to supplement ESI’s Written Supervisory Procedures found on the Agent Portal under ESI>>Compliance>>ESI Policies and Procedures>>ESI Written Supervisory Procedures.
