Brighthouse Financial has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Aquarian Capital, a diversified global holding company with a strategic portfolio of insurance and asset management businesses. At the close of the transaction, Brighthouse Financial® will operate as a stand-alone entity within the Aquarian Capital portfolio with Eric Steigerwalt continuing as President and CEO of Brighthouse Financial. The company will remain headquartered in Charlotte, NC, with the same name and brand.
