Detached Office Examinations
It’s time to begin your 2025 detached office examinations. Field Offices of Supervisory Jurisdiction (“FOSJ”) are responsible for examining all associated detached branch offices by October 31, 2025. Due to regulatory requirements, each detached branch office requires an in-person examination. Remote exams are not permitted
Examination Deadlines
Detached examination checklists are due to ESI Compliance within three weeks of the exam date.
All detached location examinations must be conducted, with fully completed examination checklists, and submitted to ESICompliance@nationallife.com by October 31, 2025. A list of offices will be provided to you no later than March 28, 2025.
Offices opened after August 31, 2025, will not require inspection in 2025. However, Compliance reserves the right to add locations, as warranted.
FOSJ and Sub-OSJ Examinations
In 2025, ESI will conduct FOSJ and Sub-OSJ examinations through on-site examinations. These examinations will be conducted on an announced or unannounced basis
Access and Review Complete Supervisory Notices
Supervisory Notice 2025-02 and 2025-03 were published on March 14th and can be accessed by logging into the agent portal, selecting ‘Compliance’ from the ‘ESI’ dropdown menu at the top of the screen, and then selecting ‘ESI Supervisory Notices’ in the ‘ESI Policies and Procedures’ section.
